NCNDT (PAEC) is organizing a Level-I Radiographic Testing Course as par details given below:

 1. Location

The course will be held at the National Centre for NDT (NCNDT) 1-9, Islamabad. 

 2. Duration of the Course with Dates

Three and a half weeks from 11 February to 05 March 2008

 3. Eligibility for the Course:

F.Sc. or three years technical diploma after matriculation in related fields such as Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Welding etc. or a -higher technical qualification with at least a practical experience of three months in radiographic testing.

 4. Course Syllabus:

Syllabus for the course will be such as to satisfy the requirements of Document No. PAEC/SES/NDT-001 which in turn is based on IAEA TECDOC 628.

 5. Course Fee: 

Rs. 25.000/- per participant will be charged as course fee. However, Life members and nominees of Corporate Members of Pakistan Society for Non-Destructive Testing (PASNT) will be allowed a 7% discount. Thus the fee for Life members and nominees of Corporate Members of PASNT will be Rs. 23.250/- per participant. Bank draft may be made payable to Altechnique Corporation of Pakistan (Pvt.) Limited, through whom the course is being organized and which is a subsidiary of PAEC. The bank draft/cheque shall be deposited with the undersigned on the first day of the course. 

 6. Transport:

Transport will be provided to the participants on prescribed two routes and specified stops as given below: 

1. Rawalpindi 
   NCNDT I-9, Pirwadhai Chowk, Kohinoor Mill, Chohr, Choongi No.22, GPO, Flashman Hotel, Mareer Chowk, Liaquat Bagh, Committee Chowk, Naz Cinema, Chandni Chowk, 6th Road, Shamsabad, Faizabad, Pindora & NCNDT (I-9). 

2. Islamabad 
   NCNDT I-9, Rawal Dam Chowk, Islamabad Club, Aabpara, Melody, Poly Clinic, Blue Area, F-8, Karachi Company, Peshawar More & NCNDT. 

 7. Lunch & Tea:

Tea with light refreshments will be provided to the participants while they will pay for lunch, which will be arranged in the NCNDT (I-9).

 8. Accommodation: 

Participants will arrange their own accommodation. 

 9. Examination and Certificate 

An examination will be conducted at the end of the course according to the procedure recommended in Document PAEC/SES/NDT -001I for the Certification of NDT Personnel. According to this there will be Four papers namely General, Specific, Safety and Practical. To be successful it will be essential to obtain at least 70% marks in each of these individual papers with an aggregate of minimum 80%. Successful candidates will be awarded with Level-1 certificates. 

 10. Application

Application on the prescribed form (nomination form)   may be sent to the Sr. Director National Centre for NDT. P O Box 1781, Islamabad latest by 11 January, 2008. Incomplete forms will not be entertained. Forms not signed by the nominating authority or those in which any column has been left unfilled will be treated as incomplete. The certificate of experience in the relevant field from the organization should also be attached along with the application. 

Also enclosed the proforma for Internship/Training with PAEC projects, which is to be sent along with the Application Form. Applicants failing to do so will be not selected for the course.
