Sources of Funding:

• Farming on spare PAEC lands leased to the Foundation at Chashma & Dera Ghazi Khan.

• A 1.76 MW Foundation Hydel Power Plant at Chashma.

• Foundation Travels (Travel Agency).

• Foundation Autos. (Autos Workshop). 

• Foundation System Division.

• Voluntary contribution by the employees in CFP.

• Profit on investments.

• Profit on bank accounts.

Welfare activities

The Foundation carries out its welfare activities under certain set of rules that are called as CFP rules. Accordingly, PAEC employees who are contributing towards CFP at the prescribed rate i.e. Rs. 15 for those working in BPS-15/SPS-IV & below and Rs.30 for those in BPS-16/SPS-1V & above are being benefited, Contribution towards CFP is voluntarily. An amount equals to the employees' contribution is contributed by Foundation. The funds are accordingly utilized solely on the welfare activities. The welfare expenditure however always far exceeds the total CFP contribution by the employees and the requirement is supplemented through additional funds. Following is the detail of welfare activities.

• Assistance to employees incapacitated due to job-related accidents.

• Grants to the Widows not qualified for pension from PAEC.

• Grants to the Widow of low-paid employees for education of their minor children.

• Reimbursement of medial expenses if not covered under PAEC Medical rules.

• Grants for daughters' marriage to the Staff employees.

• Merit scholarships for undergraduate/postgraduate 
  professional education in engineering, medicine, IT related fields and basic sciences.

• Reward for the position holders in the Intermediate Board examinations.

• Reimbursement of college fee for daughters of the staff employees.

• Reward for employees' children achieving excellence in sports.

• Sponsorship of Hajj for at-least two employees each year.

• Reimbursement of fee for enhancement of qualifications to the in-service employees.

• Donation of Bicycles, Sewing machines & fans etc. each year to staff employees.

• Interest free loan for daughters' marriage to the officers. 

• Financial Assistance to individuals deserving cases.

• Industrial Homes in PAEC colonies and day-care children centres in certain PAEC establishments.

• An urdu medium girls primary school.
