About
Nuclear
medicine, Oncology and Radiotherapy Institute was established eighteen
years ago by Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission. It is situated against
the picturesque backdrop of Margalla Hills in the heart of Islamabad. It
provides diagnostic and treatment facilities to patients suffering from
a wide range of pathologies. The Institute is catering to a population
of about 10 million people coming from various parts of Pakistan.
Over
the years NORI has acquired a large array of modern equipment. It has
fully equipped Nuclear Medicine and Radiotherapy Departments supported
by Diagnostic Radiology Unit, Pathology Laboratory, Radioimmunoassay
Laboratory and Department of Medical Physics. The technical section
looks after the sophisticated equipment.
