Structure

The institute is headed by a Director. The number of scientists at the institute is 34. Two Chief Scientific Officers, 17 Principal Scientific Officers, 9 Senior Scientific Officers, 4 Scientific Officers and two Technical Officers. The non-scientific officers include an Administrator, an Accounts Officer, a Superintendent, a Principal Engineer (Civil) and an Assistant Librarian. The number of supporting scientific/technical staff is 49 and of para scientific staff is 98 thus making a total of 178.
