Radiotherapy Department

This department is equipped with latest and most modern equipments used for the management of cancer patients. Following equipments are available in this department.

1. Co-60 Tele-Therapy Machines for Radiotherapy of cancer patients.

2. Simulator Machine to select the proper target volume for radiotherapy.

3. Computerized treatment-planning system for accurate dose delivery to the tumor and protect normal surrounding tissue.

4. Remote after loading system for treatment of gynecological cancers.

5. Deep X-Ray Therapy Machine for treatment of superficial cancers like skin cancers and Keloid.
   

6. Strontium 90 beta applicators for treatment of certain benign conditions like Pterigyium and Haemingiomas.

7. Microwave diathermy Machine for physiotherapy of deep-seated pain.

8. Operation Theatre: A well equipped operation theatre is also available for minor surgical procedures.

9. Day care unit for patients receiving chemotherapy is also available at this Institute.

10. Clinical Laboratory is also present for providing facility of routine tests for the indoor patients.

11. Thirty-bedded Air-Conditioned Oncology ward is also available along with 4 paying rooms and 2 isolation rooms for patients receiving high doses of I-131 therapy
