Rector Position Announcement

Pakistan Institute of Engineering and Applied Sciences (PIEAS) is a federally chartered degree awarding educational institution of Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission offering under-graduate and post-graduate programs in various disciplines of science and engineering. It aims to impart quality education compatible with contemporary requirements and emerging challenges in the field of science and technology. It provides qualified and trained manpower to Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission and other strategic organizations in several modern, multidisciplinary, hi-tech areas. This premier academic institute requires a highly qualified, dynamic and competent professional having proven record of academic administration and strong leadership for appointment as Rector on contract basis for an initial term of three years extendable for another term subject to performance.

Major Responsibilities

The Rector as the academic and administrative head of PIEAS, will provide dynamic leadership in planning, managing and realization of excellence in education, research and development activities.

Qualification and Experience

Applicant should preferably have PhD in Engineering or Applied Sciences relevant to academic and research activities of PIEAS and should have attained distinguished leadership in education and academic administration. The candidate should be well versed with the functions and management of and institution of higher learning with an understanding of strategic planning, broad range of research and human resource development.

Age:

 50 to 55 Years which may be relaxed in outstanding / deserving cases.

Pay Package:

Competitive salary with attractive fringe benefits and facilities commensurate with the qualification  and experience.
