INMOL is providing high quality medical services in the fields of nuclear medicine and oncology with the availability of outdoor and indoor patient treatment facilities, clinical & radioimmunoassay laboratory, diagnostic radiology and state of art modern equipment for radiotherapy in cancer patients. The patients are referred from the hospitals within the city of Lahore and also a large number of patients are referred from other parts of the country.

INMOL has set standards for efficient working and admirable growth rate in both the fields of diagnosis and treatment of malignant and non-malignant diseases. The institute is at par with the most of the modern diagnostic and therapeutic centers of the developed countries. At present INMOL has got the services of most experienced and qualified doctors and scientists in the field along with a full range of modern and state of art equipment. The equipment includes rectilinear scanners, thyroid uptake system, three gamma cameras, Two SPECT gamma cameras, Treadmill and defibrillator, radioimmunoassay counters, diagnostic x-ray unit, USG machine, clinical laboratory with automated systems and cell separators, mammography unit and well equipped radio pharmacy. In the field of cancer management Cobalt-60 unit, 15 MV Linear Accelerator with 10 MV x-rays and electron beam facility ranging from 8 – 15 MeV, remote after loading facility, computerized treatment planning, and superficial and deep x-rays therapy units are made available. 

The diagnostic services include general nuclear medicine procedures e.g. Bone whole body and SPECT scintigraphy, Hepato-biliary and colloid liver scan, Thyroid scan, gastrointestinal bleed studies, gastro-esophageal reflux studies, meckel’s diverticulum scan, Brain and Lung scans, MUGA and First pass cardiac studies, Dynamic and static renal scans, Venography and Lymphoscintigraphy studies. SPECT studies like Cardiac perfusion scan, Gated myocardial perfusion scan, Liver hemangioma studies, HMPAO brain scan are routinely performed procedures. Tumor imaging with Gallium-67 citrate, Iodine-131 scan, Iodine-131 MIBG study, Tc-99m MIBI scan and MIBI scintimammography, sentinel node imaging procedures are also offered at reasonably low price

Institute of Nuclear Medicine and Oncology – INMOL is one of the twelve medical centers established by Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission – PAEC across the country. INMOL is located in the metropolitan city of Lahore, one of the most thickly populated cities of Pakistan with a rich cultural heritage. INMOL is situated adjacent to Sheikh Zayed Hospital facing the lush green lawns of Punjab university campus.

 INMOL has been offering exemplary services in the fields of nuclear medicine and cancer management since 1984. Equipped with modern instruments & state of art facilities in both nuclear medicine and radiotherapy divisons, it caters for about 60,000 patients per annum. The number of patients is however increasing with expanding repute of the institute. Highly qualified and professionally devoted physicians and doctors of Nuclear Medicine and Oncology are available at INMOL. It also extends free medical aid to deserving patients that range from 80-90% of the total patients attended. The high quality diagnostic and treatment facilities have earned INMOL a good repute at both national and international levels. It has also been declared as the ‘Center of Excellence’ and a referral center for Asia-Pacific regional countries by the International Atomic Energy Agency. The Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission –PAEC can rightly be given the credit for establishing and maintaining the high standard medical center.    

The institute is also well known for its high quality teaching and training in the regional countries from where there is a regular inflow of students for training in almost all the fields available at INMOL. The institute is at the forefront in the field of research also. The research work is being carried out mostly in collaboration with the International Atomic Energy Agency.

Considering the high standards of professional and clinical practice at the institute, College of Physicians & Surgeons Pakistan has recognized INMOL as the training center for FCPS students in the fields of Nuclear Medicine & Oncology.
