Training Facilities

Introduction:

CHASNUPP Center of Nuclear Training (CHASCENT) was established in 1996 and has been preparing trained manpower for CHASNUPP-1 as well as for other power sector projects of Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission (PAEC).  More than 120 Engineers/ Scientists and 425 Technicians have been trained in Nuclear Power Plant Technology so far.

Main Academic Programs:

Currently 2 main Programs are offered annually:

1.  One Year Post Graduate Training Program (for Engineers & Scientists)

2.  One Year Post Diploma Training Program (for 3 year diploma holders)

Selection Procedure:

Applications are invited through advertisements in national newspapers.  Written Tests and Interviews are held at centers in Peshawar, Islamabad, Lahore and Karachi. Selection is strictly based on merit.

Fellowships and Amenities:

  • Fellowship of Rs. 10,000/- per month for Post Graduate Trainees

  • Fellowship of Rs. 4,358/- per month for Post Diploma Trainees

  • Free hostel accommodation and free pick and drop facility

Jobs in PAEC:

Jobs are offered by PAEC to successful students with advance increments and other benefits.
