Transfer of Technology
& Local Participation
Transfer of technology was an important element of the project. PAEC engineers and scientists have acquired specialized training and know-how in the field of nuclear power. Moreover, they have been actively involved in plant design, construction, manufacturing and quality assurance. This will prove to be beneficial for their active role in the indigenization programme of PAEC.
PAEC has undertaken substantial amount of civil works, local fabrication of many mechanical equipment and design & fabrication of full scope training simulator (FSTS) for the plant. This has given PAEC confidence for taking up assignments of greater involvement and progressively working towards achieving the goal of self reliance in the construction of nuclear power plants.
