Functions

BINO has been functioning since 06 August 1998 and providing treatment of cancer patients with Radiation therapy, Chemotherapy, Harmon therapy, Immuno therapy. The nuclear Medicine Department which is equipped with 2 E-Cam Gamma Cameras, is providing the Nuclear Diagnostic facilities to the cancerous and non-cancerous patients of Bone, Brain, Thyroid, Para Thyroid, Liver, Gall Bladder and Kidney diseases since September, 2000. This Institute has further extended its nuclear medicine facilities by providing Tc99m  -MIBI Myocardial Perfusion SPECT of the cardiac patients from 7-12-2000 and Scintimammography from 22nd  May 2001.

BINO Radiotherapy Department is equipped with Cobalt 60 Teletherapy machine, Radiotherapy Simulator, 3-D Treatment Planning System, Superficial X-ray machine, Computerised Dosimetry System and Brachytherapy with a Remote After Loading System.

The R.I.A. Department has been functioning since 29th  November 2001 after the installation of fully Automatic Non-Isotopic type Imulite System.  Thyroid Related Hormone Assay facilities and FSH, LH, PROLACTIN and HCG Assay Facilities has been started from 29-11-2001.

Pathology Laboratory of BINO, Bahawalpur has been started functioning since 20th May 2002, after the Installation of Haematology Counter and Biochemistry analyser in furtherance of its objectives of providing doorstep facilities to the poor and needy cancer patients of this region.
