Pakistan has been elected unopposed, as Governor to the IAEA BoG for the term 2012-2014. The BoG meeting was held on 24th September, 2012 in which eleven new Governors were elected to this BoG and Pakistan was unanimously elected on MESA region seat for a period of two years.
